Holi 2022 Special Trains: People love to celebrate festivals like Holi and Diwali with their families. Keeping the increased influx of passengers for the upcoming Holi festival, Indian Railways has introduced special trains from Delhi, UP, Bihar, and Mumbai.
22 Tri-Weekly Holi Special Trains Between Mumbai & Ballia
Keeping in mind the festive rush, the Indian Railways will run 22 Holi special trains between Mumbai and Ballia via Varanasi from March 7. According to Ashok Kumar, the NER Varanasi division spokesperson, 22 tri-weekly special trains will be run between Central Railway Mumbai and Ballia to reduce the extra rush of passengers during the Holi festival.
- Train number 01001 tri-weekly special will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus from March 7 to March 30 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- While train number 01002 tri-weekly special will depart from Ballia every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from March 9 to April 1.
- The stoppages of these trains include Kalyan, Nasik Road, Bhusawal, Harda, Itarsi, Rani Kamalapati, Bina, Lalitpur, Tikamgarh, Kharagpur, Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakootdham Karvi, Manikpur, Prayagraj, Gyanpur Road, Varanasi, Aunihar Mau and Rasra. The trains will have one AC two-tier, six AC three-tier, 11 sleeper classes, and five general second class coaches.
Special Trains From Mumbai Central & Bandra Terminus
A recent tweet from the official Twitter handle of Western Railway said that, in order to meet the demand for travel during the Holi festival, Western Railway has decided to run Holi Special Superfast trains on special fare from Mumbai Central and Bandra Terminus. Train no. 09039, 09035, 09005, and 09006 can be booked at the PRS counter and IRCTC website from March 2, 2022, onwards.

List Of Special Trains Running From Mumbai
- Train No. 09039 will leave for Jaipur from Mumbai Central at 11.55 pm on March 16 and reach its destination at 7.25 pm the next day.
- Train No. 09040 will leave Jaipur for Borivali at 9.15 pm on March 17 and reach its destination at 3.10 pm the next day.
- Train No.09035 will leave Bandra Terminus for Kothi at 11 am on March 16 and reach its destination at 4 am the next day.
- Train No. 09036 will leave Bhagat Ki Kothi to Bandra Terminus at 11.40 am on March 17 and reach its destination at 4.15 am the next day.
- Train No. 09005 Bandra Terminus to Bhavnagar Terminus will depart on March 14 at 9.45 pm. The train will reach its destination at 10.30 am the next day.
- Train No. 09006 from Bhavnagar Terminus to Bandra Terminus will leave on March 16 at 10.10 am. It will reach its destination at 11.25 pm the same day.
- Passengers note that train no. 09039, 09035, 09005, and 09006 will run from March 2, 2022. Apart from this, these trains will be fully reserved on special fares.
