With Over 11,000 New Covid-19 Cases, India Breaches 3 Lakh-Mark; Maharashtra's Tally Over 1 Lakh

While India breached the 3 lakh mark of Coronavirus Infected cases, The national capital has recorded a first-ever spike of more than 2000 cases. The country's recovery rate stands at 49.9%.

New Delhi: The number of Covid infected cases in 24 hours reached a record high today with 11,458 fresh cases. The situation in India is learning as the total count has crossed the 3 lakh mark today.  The number of active cases in the country has reached 145779 cases while the number of deaths registered in a single day is 386. Check Here Number Of Recoveries Surpass Number of Active Cases  India's recovery rate is now 49.9 percent. According to the Health Ministry, the total number of recovered cases in the country are 154329The recoveries continue to be higher than active cases of the novel coronavirus. More new recoveries than new active cases reported in Bihar, Chhattishgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Odisha, Telangana, and Uttarakhand. Worst Affected States Maharashtra has breached the 1 lakh and 3717 people have succumbed to the virus in the state. With a total of 1,01,141 cases, Maharashtra contributes one-third of the total virus load in India. With 1,366 new cases, Mumbai now has a total of 55,451 cases. The city’s toll, meanwhile, touched 2,044 on Friday as 90 more succumbed to the infection. At 3.6 percent, the fatality rate in Maharashtra remains higher than the national average of 2.86 per cent. Delhi recorded 2,137 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday, the highest single-day spike in the national capital, taking the tally in the city to over 36,000-mark, and the death toll due to the disease climbed to 1,214, authorities said. As many as 71 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours. This is the first time when over 2,000 cases have been reported in a day in Delhi. India Stands at 4th Position According to the Worldometer, India is at the fourth position globally in the list of most adversely affected by the highly infectious disease. The global mortality rate has reduced from 5.58% to 5.53%.  Ahead Of India is Russia with over 5 lakh cases. The US remains to be the worst affected country with over 21 lakh cases.
