Whatever Sanjay Raut Has Said...: Pawar On Sena Leader's Remark Over Ajit As Next CM
Ajit Pawar also on Tuesday reiterated that he would stay in the NCP till his last moment amid swirling rumours over his next political move.
Amid reports of Ajit Pawar eyeing chief minister post and speculations of him jumping ship with BJP, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar said the former has himself termed him being named as future CM as madness. NCP chief made the statement after Sanjay Raut fuelled Pawar’s speculation of being the CM saying everyone thinks he should become CM.
“Whatever Sanjay Raut has said about a change in CM must be from his own sources. I don't have any information on this...Ajit Pawar himself has said that putting his posters terming him as the future CM is madness,” said Sharad Pawar on Wednesday, reported ANI.
Ajit Pawar also on Tuesday reiterated that he would stay in the NCP till his last moment amid swirling rumours over his next political move.

“Several speculations about me were circulated and rumours were spread. For no reason, a ring of suspicion was created around me but without falling prey to any rumours, I am continuing with my work,” he said while speaking at a party programme in Maharashtra’s Baramati.
“I am sure you also have several questions in your mind. You also must be thinking that if I would repeat the same thing that I had done at 8 am (in an apparent reference to his early morning oath-taking in 2019). But I have already told you that I will continue to work in NCP till my last moment and will agree with any decision that my party takes,” he said.
While Pawar cleared the air that he would not quit the NCP, the speculations are still rife.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar was capable of becoming Maharashtra chief minister since he has vast administrative experience.
He also claimed that the "death warrant" of the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government has been issued and it will collapse in the next 15-20 days.
