Two persons were hurt in a scuffle that broke out at a residential society in Noida on Thursday night over the position of the president of the Apartment owners' organisation, according to the police, news agency ANI reported.

A video of the incident that depicts a fight between the two groups with one woman yanking another woman's hair has also been making the rounds on social media. Also visible in the video were society guards brandishing sticks.

The police stated that Sections 107 (security for upholding the peace) and 116 of the CRPC had also been invoked (inquiry as to the truth of information).

One of the parties has also claimed that the society guards attacked them. Two guards have been held, and CCTV video is being reviewed, according to the police, who also stated that action is being done in response to a complaint that has been lodged.

Speaking with ANI, DCP (Noida) Harish Chander said: “Two women were injured. They were sent for medical check-up. Further investigation into the matter is being carried out. The conflict arose between those who were in the old AOA and the new one.”
