Watch: Rahul Gandhi Addresses Bharat Jodo Yatra Rally Amid Heavy Rain In Mysuru

Bharat Jodo Yatra: While addressing a rally amid rains, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi says 'no one can stop us from uniting India.'

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally in Mysuru, Karnataka, amid rains as part of the ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Yatra,' on Sunday.

Rahul Gandhi's official Twitter account posted a video of himself addressing  a public rally in the rain. He captioned the video, “Uniting India, No one can stop us. By raising the voice of India, No one can stop us. Will go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, no one can stop the India Jodi Yatra.”

The Congress party also tweeted while posting a video of Rahul Gandhi's speech delivered in the rain. “No excuses. Only passion. There is no hurdle big enough to stop #BharatJodoYatra from achieving its goal.”

In charge of Congress Communications Jairam Ramesh said, “On the evening of Gandhi Jayanthi undeterred by a downpour in Mysuru, @RahulGandhi electrified a sea of people. It was an unequivocal declaration. No force can stop the #BharatJodoYatra from uniting India against hate, from speaking up against unemployment and price rise.”

Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi earlier on Sunday in honour of the 153rd anniversary of his birth. He noted that while it is convenient for people in authority to appropriate the heritage of the "Father of the Nation," it is challenging to follow in his footsteps.

Rahul Gandhi added that the Congress' on-going "Bharat Jodo Yatra" will convey a message of "ahimsa and'swaraj" in the midst of the politics of violence and deceit.

Rahul Gandhi went to a Khadi Gramodyaga Kendra that Mahatma Gandhi had visited in 1927 at Badanavalu, Karnataka.

"We remember and pay our respects to that great son of India. Our remembering is made more poignant by the fact that we are on the 25th day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a padyatra in which we are walking his path of ahimsa, unity, equality and justice," the Congress leader remarked in a statement.

Rahul Gandhi claimed on Friday that the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' was the only way for the party to reach out to the masses because all other avenues of expression were closed, PTI reported.
