Watch: Priyanka Gandhi's Aide Sandeep Singh Manhandles ABP Ganga Reporter; Says Thok Ke Yahi Baja Dunga

Priyanka Gandhi's close aide Sandeep Singh manhandled a journalist of ABP Ganga Hindi news channel when the later tried to ask Congress General Secretary her views of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir

Sonbhadra: In a shocking incident, Priyanka Gandhi's close aide Sandeep Singh manhandled a journalist of ABP Ganga Hindi news channel when the later tried to ask Congress General Secretary her views of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir by the Modi government. Nitish Pandey, a reporter with the news channel was first blatantly abused and threatened by Singh for asking questions from Priyanka Gandhi. It all started when Priyanka Gandhi went to Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh to meet the victims of massacre and the reporter asked her views on the issue. The video of the incident goes to show Singh issuing threat to the reporter and menacingly saying, “Suno Suno, Thok ke yahi baja dunga, marunga toh yehi gir jaoge (Listen, I will give you such a sound beating that you will collapse here).” The journalist, however, did not fear from the threats issued by the Congress admirer and persisted with his questions to Priyanka Gandhi. He was then manhandled by Singh as he went close to Priyanka Gandhi to intervene and stop the hooliganism. “Right in front of you Priyanka ji, your workers are pushing away the cameras, roughing up journalists,” Pandey said. Video also shows that Priyanka Gandhi did not show any interest in helping the journalist or stopping the hooliganism of Singh. After noticing that his behaviour has been caught on camera, Singh turned the blame on the journalist, accusing him of being a paid stooge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “You have been paid by the BJP to do this,” Singh said. Later while interacting with mediapersons during her visit to Sonbhadra village, Priyanka Gandhi did comment on Article 370 abrogation and said that the manner in which it has been done is completely unconstitutional and it’s against all the principles of democracy. “There are rules to be followed when such things are done, which were not followed,” she said. Priyanka visited the Sonbhadra village where 10 tribals were shot dead over a land dispute, nearly a month after the UP administration prevented her from going to the site of the massacre by detaining her in Mirzapur. She covered the distance from Varanasi to Umbha village in Sonbhadra district, about 100 kilometres apart, by road, prompting Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma to say she was pulling off a "political stunt".
