Veteran NDTV Journalist Kamal Khan Dies At 62, Hours After Last Show

The Lucknow bureau chief of NDTV, Kamal Khan suffered a heart attack after which he was admitted to a hospital. Khan was declared dead by the doctors in the hospital.

New Delhi: Senior journalist from Uttar Pradesh, Kamal Rashid Khan breathed his last this morning. The Lucknow bureau chief of NDTV, Kamal Khan suffered a heart attack after which he was admitted to a hospital. Khan was declared dead by the doctors in the hospital.

Kamal Khan, born in 1960, was particularly known for his poetic voiceovers and piece to camera, and his in-depth analysis of Uttar Pradesh politics.

In his journalism career which spanned for nearly three decades, he covered many elections and important events of Uttar Pradesh. 

Tributes Pour In For Veteran Journalist

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati expressed her grief at the passing away of journalist Kamal Khan. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “The news of the sudden demise of renowned and well-known TV journalist Kamal Khan associated with NDTV is a very sad and irreparable loss to the journalism world. My deepest condolences to his family and all his loved ones. May nature give everyone the strength to bear this sorrow, wishing from such a nature.”

National spokesperson of Congress, Supriya Shrinate also paid her tribute to the deceased journalist. “Shocked to hear about the sudden demise of @kamalkhan_NDTV Rock solid journalist, a great human being. Life is so unpredictable. Prayers for his soul and strength to his family and friends in this hour of grief,” she tweeted. 

 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that demise of Kamal Khan was "a big loss for the journalism world." "Very sad The sudden demise of famous journalist Kamal Khan ji is a big loss for the journalism world. I pray to God to give strength to his family to bear this loss. Humble Tribute," wrote Kejriwal on Twitter.

 

 

Union Minister Hardip Singh Puri also took to Twitter and condoled the demise of Kamal Khan. “We belong to him, & to him, we return. The passing away of senior journalist Sh Kamal Khan Ji is deeply saddening & leaves a huge void. My sincerest condolences to his family, friends, admirers & colleagues. May God give them strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Puri tweeted.
