Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express To Run Six Days A Week. Check Out Schedule, Stoppages & Train Fare

The Vande Bhart train will include seven chair cars and one executive-class coach and will accommodate 556 passengers.

New Delhi: The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express, that will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, will run six days a week, except for Saturdays, railway officials said. The semi-high speed train, with an accommodation for 556 passengers, will be flagged off from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur.

Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express (Train No- 22549) will begin its journey from Gorakhpur around 3.40pm on Friday, and will reach Lucknow Junction, with halts at Sahjanwa, Khalilabad, Basti, Babhnan, Mankapur, Ayodhya and Barabanki. However, when the train starts regular services, it will halt only at Basti and Ayodhya.

It is to be noted that the Indian Railways has started accepting bookings for the train, to be run by North Eastern Railway. The Vande Bhart train will include seven chair cars and one executive-class coach and will accommodate 556 passengers.

“The regular service of 22549 Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will commence from 09.07.2023. The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will leave Gorakhpur at 06.05 am and reach Lucknow at 10.20 am the same day. While returning, 22550 Lucknow-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express will depart from Lucknow at 07.15 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 11.25 pm the same day,” said Pankaj Kumar Singh, chief public relations officer, Gorakhpur, in a press note.

Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express Stoppages

The train will start regular operations from July 9 and it will only halt at Basti and Ayodhya. Passengers can book tickets from counters at these stations too. The train will also stop at Mankapur level crossing for an operational halt.

The train will be repaired at a new facility in Gorakhpur every Saturday.

Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express Fare

The base fare for the chair car will be Rs 724 while a seat on the executive class will cost Rs 1,470 per passenger for the journey from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. The passengers will also be provided with meals, snacks and tea by the IRCTC, said officials.
