A massive fire has erupted in the backyard region of Vrindavan's Prem Mandir in Mathura. Two fire tenders are currently on the scene, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier today, a tanker carrying chemicals erupted in flames and exploded on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway in Maharashtra, resulting in four fatalities and three injuries.

The accident occurred on the expressway segment, connecting Lonavala and Khandala, reported news agency PTI. Following a collision, the tanker caught fire and subsequently exploded, leading to the release of fiery chemical particles onto the motorists below, causing further harm, stated an official.

Among those affected, four motorists suffered injuries, unfortunately resulting in the death of three individuals. Additionally, one occupant of the tanker lost their lives, while two others in the vehicle sustained injuries, shared an official from the Lonavala police station.

Expressing his sorrow over the loss of lives, Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the state's Home Minister, referred to the incident as "unfortunate" and extended his condolences.

Earlier on Monday, a major fire broke out at Satpura Bhawan, which houses various offices of the Madhya Pradesh government, in Bhopal.

On Monday, another massive fire broke out at Delhi's Ghazipur landfill site. After receiving the information, 14 fire tenders reached the spot. A firefighting operation is currently underway. The reason for the blaze is still not known. No injuries have been reported yet. An envelope of smoke engulfed the area, ANI reported.
