UP CM Yogi Adityanath Inducts 23 Ministers In First Cabinet Expansion
This is the first reshuffle since Adityanath took over the reins of the state in March 2017, heading a 47-member ministry including himself.
Lucknow: In its first cabinet reshuffle and expansion on Wednesday, Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh had 23 ministers taking oath at the Raj Bhawan this morning. This is the first reshuffle since Adityanath took over the reins of the state in March 2017, heading a 47-member ministry including himself.
Reports say four ministers of state with independent charge were promoted as cabinet ministers, while two new faces, Ram Naresh Agnihotri and Kamla Rani Varun, joined as cabinet ministers.
Six ministers of state with independent charge were also inducted. The ministry will also have 11 new ministers of state.
The oath of officer of the ministers was administered by Governor Anandiben Patel.
New ministers of state include Anil Sharma, Mahesh Gupta, Anand Swaroop, Vijay Kashyap, Giraj Singh Dharmesh, Lakhan Singh Rajput, Neelima Katiyar, Chaudhary Uday Bhan Singh, Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay, Ram Shankar Singh Patel, Ajit Singh Pal.
Cabinet Ministers: While Mahendra Singh, Bhupendra Singh Choudhary, Ram Naresh Agnihotri, Suresh Rana, Anil Rajab, and Kamala Rani are appointed as the Cabinet Ministers.
Independent charge: Neel Kant Tiwari, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Satish Dwivedi, Ashok Kataria, Ram Chauhan and Ravindra Jaiswal have got Independent charge.
