Unlock 4: NMRC Announces Noida Metro Will Resume Services On Aqua Line From Sept 7 Onwards

Noida: Noida Metro Rail Corporation has announced that Noida Metro will resume its services on Aqua Line for the public from September 7 onwards in a calibrated manner. ALSO READ | Unlock 4 Guidelines: Metro Services To Start From September 7, Schools And Colleges Remain Shut The NMRC statement added that further details on its functioning and usage by the general public will be shared once the detailed Standard operating procedure on metro operations is issued by the union home ministry. This announcement has come after the Central government's guidelines for Unlock 4 released. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA) Ministry of Railways (MOR), in consultation with MHA has allowed for metro operations to be resumed after September 7 in a graded manner. For this, MHA will announce the detailed Standard operating procedure soon. Metro operations have been shut ever since the lockdown was implemented in March this year after the outbreak of Coronavirus in India. No Permission Required For Inter/Intra-State Movement Of Goods, Persons The statement issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs for Unlock 4 clearly stated that there will be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of persons and goods, and no separate permission/ e-permit will be required for such movements. MHA's statement read, "State/ UT Governments shall not impose any local lockdown (State/ District/ sub-division/City/ village level), outside the containment zones, without prior consultation with the central government." For the vulnerable section of the population, the MHA said, "vulnerable persons, i.e., persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women, and children below the age of 10 years, are advised to stay at home, except for essential requirements and for health purposes."
