Union Minister Prakash Javadekar Tests Positive For Covid-19, Asks Recent Contacts To Get Tested
“I have tested #COVID positive today. All those who have come in contact with me in the last 2-3 days may please get themselves tested,” he tweeted.
New Delhi: Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on Friday tested Covid-19 positive and urged the people who have come in contact with him in the last two to three days to get themselves tested.
The Union Minister confirmed the news on the micro-blogging platform Twitter.

Meanwhile, India added over two lakh new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s toll to over 1.4 crores.
Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa earlier in the day tested Covid-19 positive for the second time and has been admitted to the Ramaiah Memorial hospital in the state capital Bengaluru.
Earlier on Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tested positive for coronavirus and has isolated himself since then. Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav too tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week and is in self-isolation.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tested positive for the virus earlier this month. Senior Congress leader and former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy was also found positive for Covid-19.
Earlier on April 7, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tested positive. Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja contracted the infection on April 4.
Earlier on March 20, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray had also tested positive for the virus.
