'Jinnah Chale Gaye, Apna Djinn Chhod Gaye': Giriraj After Owaisi's 'We Lost Our Masjid' Remark

Singh accused Owaisi of attempting to divide the nation and drew comparisons to Jinnah, saying that "he is inflaming sentiments among Muslims".

Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Tuesday criticised Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, for his recent comments ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Singh accused Owaisi of attempting to divide the nation and drew comparisons to Jinnah, saying that "he is inflaming sentiments among Muslims".

"All the people in the country are descendants of Ram; Owaisi wants to divide the country. I feel that he has been possessed by a genie inside him. The genie has left, but it has left its influence on him. Owaisi provokes Muslims (Desh ke sabhi log Ram ke vanshaj hain; Owaisi desh ko baantna chahte hain. Mujhe lagta hai ki unke andar Jinnah ka djinn ghus gaya hai. Jinnah chale gaye, apna djinn chhod gaye. Owaisi musalmano ko bhadka rahe hain)," Giriraj Singh was quoted as saying by news agency ANI in Hindi.

Owaisi's Recent Remarks Ahead Of Ram Temple Opening

As the inauguration of the Ram Temple approaches, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi has advised Muslim youth to be vigilant regarding actions taken by the BJP-led Centre. Owaisi emphasised the importance of maintaining occupied mosques across the nation.

Addressing a gathering in Bhavani Nagar, Owaisi referenced the historical significance of the Babri Masjid, highlighting its absence from Muslim control. "We've lost our Masjid. Don't you feel the pain?" he remarked, drawing attention to potential threats to other mosques, including Delhi's Sunheri Masjid.

Encouraging unity among young Muslims, Owaisi stressed the need to protect religious institutions. "Preserve your support and fortitude. Be vigilant about our mosques. Unity remains our strength," he urged.

Earlier, Owaisi criticised the New Delhi Municipal Council's notice seeking public feedback on the proposed demolition of the Sunehri Bagh mosque, contending that it contravenes constitutional provisions safeguarding religious freedom and cultural protection.

'Vinash Kale Viprit Buddhi': Giriraj On 'Siddaramaiah Is Our Ram Remark'

Union Minister Giriraj Singh also slammed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah saying "Siddaramaiah ji, 'Vinash Kale Viprit Buddhi'. Do you (Siddaramaiah) want to destroy Lord Ram devotees? If you have made this mistake, in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Hindus will unite and make your results zero...don't clash with Lord Ram devotees," ANI quoted him as saying.

This comes after H Anjaneya, a former Karnataka minister and Congress leader, sparked a major controversy on Monday by comparing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to Lord Ram.

Anjaneya said, "He (Siddaramaiah) is our Ram. Why should he visit Ayodhya for the consecration event? He could pay obeisance at his native village which has a Ram temple," reported ANI.

Meanwhile, preparations for the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya are in progress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the event on January 22. The ceremonies, commencing on January 16, will accommodate thousands of attendees, with the main ceremony overseen by the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust. The foundation stone for the temple was laid by Modi in August 2020, following a Supreme Court verdict in 2019 that facilitated its construction.
