WATCH: Trial Run Of Flight Conducted At Ayodhya International Airport Ahead Of Inauguration

New Delhi: A successful trial run of flight was conducted at Ayodhya’s Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport which is set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, news agency PTI reported.
Apart from the airport inauguration, PM Modi will also flag off two trains from the Ayodhya railway station, including one Vande Bharat. He will also address a public meeting on Decmeber 30.

“PM Modi will also inaugurate the Ayodhya Ayodhya Airport on December 30, 2023, and it will become operational on January 5, 2024," Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh told news agency ANI.
According to an ANI report, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the Aerodrome Licence to Ayodhya Airport on December 14.
As per the report, Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), got the licence from Vikram Dev Dutt, DG, Directorate General of Civil Aviation in New Delhi.
The Ayodhya airport has a 2200-metre-long runway, Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGL) infrastructure, Doppler Very High-Frequency Omni Range (DVOR), and an Instrument Landing System (ILS).
The airport will have features making it suitable for day and night operations and during low visibility conditions of more than 550 metres. Both AAI and DGCA officials collaborated to complete this project successfully.
The terminal building of the airport has a capacity to handle 600 passengers during peak hours and 10 lakh passengers annually, ANI reported.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday took stock of the preparations and progress of development works ahead of PM Modi’s visit.
PM Modi will visit Ayodhya to inaugurate a slew of projects and also the consecration ceremony at Ram Janmabhoomi temple on January 22.
