Traffic Near Janpath Likely To Be Affected For 4 Hours Today Due To BJP Protest: Delhi Police Advisory
Traffic near Janpath in Central Delhi is likely to be affected for around four hours on Tuesday due to a protest by the leaders of the BJP.
New Delhi: Traffic near Janpath in Lutyens’ Delhi is likely to be affected for around four hours, from 1 PM to 5 PM, on Tuesday due to a protest by the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), PTI reported citing Delhi police.
As per the report, the saffron party has planned to hold a demonstration near the residence of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi over remarks of party spokesperson Pawan Khera on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s father.
Recently, Khera referred to the prime minister as "Narendra Gautamdas Modi". He made the statement while criticising the BJP-led central government over the Adani row that has come forth after the Hindenburg Report on the companies of the business conglomerate.
PM Modi's full name is Narendra Damodardas Modi, with the middle name Damodardas standing for his father's name, a common practice in many parts of the country.
The Delhi Traffic Police took to Twitter to caution the commuters in an advisory.

Earlier on Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party slammed Congress Leader Pawan Khera for addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Narendra 'Gautam Das' Modi. The footage is from a news conference he gave last Friday, news agency ANI reported.
Khera can be seen in the video stumbling over the prime minister's full name, Narendra Damodardas Modi. He stated: "When Narasimha Rao could form a JPC, when Atal Bihari Vajpayee could form a JPC, then what problem does Narendra Gautam Das — sorry, Damodardas — Modi have?"
The AICC spokesperson then asks his colleague whether Modi's surname is Gautam Das or Damodardas. Damodardas Mulchand Modi is the name of the prime minister's father. When corrected, Pawan Khera stated, "Naam Damordas hai, kaam Gautam Das ka hai," which translates to, "Although his name is Damordas, his work is that of a Gautam Das."
