'This Is Ground Reality Of J&K Congress': Jairam Ramesh Takes A Dig At Ghulam Nabi Azad

Taking to Twitter, Ramesh stated: “This is ground reality, not reality manufactured by people sitting in New Delhi in Modi Sarkar sanctioned bungalows with huge lawns and planting fake news.”

Aiming a jab at Ghulam Nabi Azad, Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh stated on Friday that the "ground reality" of the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir is distinct from the ones "created by individuals sitting in New Delhi in Modi Sarkar-sanctioned villas," news agency ANI reported.

Taking to Twitter, Ramesh stated: “This is ground reality, not reality manufactured by people sitting in New Delhi in Modi Sarkar sanctioned bungalows with huge lawns and planting fake news.”

A monthly meeting of the Congress members from every block in the Bhallessa Sub Division was conducted on September 1 in Gandoh's party office, according to a tweet from the Jammu and Kashmir Congress. It went on to say that the conference had been going on for more than 50 years.

Notably, Ghulam Nabi Azad, a former Congress politician, is from Bhalessa.

“Congress workers of all blocks of Sub Division Bhallessa assembled at Congress office Gandoh to hold monthly meeting which is being conducted 1st day of every month for last more than 50 years. Bhalessa is the home village of Ghulam Nabi Azad,” Jammu and Kashmir Congress tweeted.

On August 26, Azad announced his resignation from all party positions, blaming Rahul Gandhi's "immaturity" for "demolish[ing] the consultative mechanism" inside the party.

Azad said that a circle controls the party and that Sonia Gandhi, the party's interim president, is only a ceremonial leader who defers to "Shri Rahul Gandhi or, worse, his security guards and PAs" for all critical decisions.

"I have been compelled to leave my home on my own," Azad remarked earlier when speaking to journalists in the nation's capital.

Slamming Congress over his resignation, he stated: “Modi is an excuse, they have had an issue with me since the G23 letter was written. They never wanted anyone to write to them, question them.”

“Several (Congress) meetings happened, but not even a single suggestion was taken,” he added.

After founding a new party, Azad was asked if he would join the BJP if necessary. He said: "Congress mein anpadhon (illiterate) ki jamaat hai, especially those sitting for clerical work…Those who know Jammu and Kashmir, I can’t increase even one vote in BJP’s constituencies, they can’t do it in mine.”

Last Saturday, a number of Jammu and Kashmir political figures met with senior politician Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is preparing to create a new national party.

“MLAs from Jammu and Kashmir are here. A few more-some senior leaders and ex-ministers-will come in the evening. Azad Sa’ab said a national party will be formed, we’ll begin from J&K and the upcoming poll will be fought strongly. Don’t want to reply to comments, we’ll reply with a victory,” former Congress leader Salman Nizami was quoted by ANI in its report.

The meeting took place within 24 hours after Azad's resignation from all of his positions in Congress, and it is significant since the valley is expected to conduct elections later this year.
