Sushant Singh Rajput’s Lawyer Vikas Singh On His 1st Death Anniversary: ‘Hope New CBI Director Will Give Priority To This Case’
The lawyer said it is very surprising that the CBI has not been able to do anything till date in connection with this case.
New Delhi: Expressing surprise over no progress in the case involving the death of Sushant Singh Rajput even a year after his demise, the late Bollywood actor’s family lawyer Vikas Singh on Monday said they now hope new Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal will give some priority to this case and get the chargesheet filed at the earliest.
The lawyer said it is very surprising that the CBI has not been able to do anything till date in connection with this case.
“The CBI should have done custodial interrogation of persons named in the FIR and those who were at his residence especially (Siddharth) Pithani because he changed his stand,” he added.
Singh also expressed his concern over contradictory reports from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

“Today, I have also seen some AIIMS reports coming out. The same head of AIIMS told me personally when he had seen the strangulation mark from a picture of SSR that this is 200% strangulation. Now, suddenly he is saying it is a pure and simple case of suicide,” ANI quoted the lawyer as saying.
The lawyer’s remarks come as the AIIMS forensic team, which conducted a study on behalf of the CBI, ruled out any foul play stating that they found no injury marks or liquor in the late actor’s body.
Meanwhile, a CBI official stated that investigation related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is still continuing and all the aspects of the case are being looked into meticulously.
Rajput, who made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Kai Po Che!, was found dead at his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on June 14, 2020.
