The SC rejected the Union Territory of Ladakh administration's plea challenging the J&K HC order relating to the allotment of the party symbol plough to the National Conference for LAHDC election.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the Union Territory of Ladakh administration's plea challenging the Jammu and Kashmir High Court order relating to the allotment of the party symbol plough to the National Conference for the upcoming Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) election. According to a notification issued by the election department on August 5, the polls for 26 seats of the 30-member LAHDC, Kargil, are scheduled for September 10 and the counting of votes will take place four days later.
