Taking cognizance on the matter, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has appealed to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to intervene in the matter and ensure safety of the devotees stranded in Gurdwara.

Islamabad [Pakistan]: An angry mob of Muslim residents in Nankana Sahib in Pakistan reportedly stormed the historic Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Sikh's first master Guru Nanak Dev on Friday evening. As per the initial reports, the group was led by the family of a boy who had allegedly abducted Sikh girl Jagjit Kaur, daughter of gurdwara's pathi. Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared the video which, he said, showed an angry Muslim mob shouting anti-Sikh slogans outside Nankana Sahib.
