Sonali Phogat Death: Brother Dismisses Allegations Of Haryana MLA Gopal Kanda's Involvement

"No, there is nothing like that," Rinku Dhaka said.

The brother of deceased actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sonali Phogat on Friday dismissed allegations against Haryana MLA Gopal Kanda's involvement in Phogat's death.

"No, there is nothing like that," he was quoted by ANI on its official Twitter handle.

"After the last rites are conducted, the family members will decide whether or not we want a CBI probe into her death. We are sure that it was a murder. We are satisfied with the probe done so far," he stated.

Post-Mortem Report Reveals Injury Marks On Her Body, Claims Sonali Phogat’s Brother

Earlier on Thursday, Rinku claimed that Sonali Phogat's post-mortem examination revealed signs of trauma on her body.

“A probe should be done as per the filed FIR. The post-mortem report says that her (Sonali Phogat) body has marks of injury,” said Rinku Dhaka.

The actor's body had no injuries with sharp edges, the Goa Police said on Thursday.

On Thursday, the Goa Police also filed a murder complaint against two people for their suspected participation in Phogat's passing.

Speaking with ANI, Goa's Inspector General of Police OS Bishnoi stated: “Murder case has been registered against two persons in Anjuna Police Station. The probe in the case is underway. The deceased’s brother has mentioned the involvement of her PA and one other person."

“Women police officers who conducted a physical examination of Sonali Phogat’s body have not found any sharp-edged injuries on the body,” he added.
