Transgender Activist Laxmi Takes Covishield Dose, Adar Poonawalla Promises Equal Opportunities For Community

Transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi has taken the coronavirus vaccine. Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of Serum Institute, posted a photo on Twitter.

New Delhi: Transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi has taken a dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla was present on the occasion. Adar Poonawalla posted a picture (on Twitter) of Laxmi Narayan Tripathi taking the vaccine. He said that he believed that healthcare should be a fundamental human right.

CEO Adar Poonawalla wrote: "I have always believed that healthcare should be included as a fundamental human right. I look forward to collaborating with Laxmi Narayan Tripathi (Transgender Activist) to create equal opportunities for the transgender community in India."

Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi is transgender and is currently working as a transgender activist. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi's efforts are directed towards helping transgenders get their due and live peacefully in society.

Recently, Akhilesh Yadav met Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi. During the meeting, Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi wished him luck for the upcoming assembly elections in UP. After meeting Akhilesh Yadav, Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi said if the Samajwadi Party wins in Uttar Pradesh, the "politics of the country will change."
