Sena wants to take on BJP on the issue of Hindutva ahead of Lok Sabha polls. Also, the party has been taking continuous jibes at BJP over the issue of Ram Mandir. As per Sena, “BJP has forgotten their promise of Ram Mandir after coming to power”.

New Delhi: The ongoing fued between Bharatiya Janta Party and Shiv Sena in centre and in Maharashtra has reached its peak. After Maratha protest, no-confidence motion, women security, cow safety, now Sena has prepared a formula to take on BJP on the issue of Hindutva. To bring this formula into play, Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray is set to visit PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi and disputed land- Ayodhya. Sena is now seeking support from Mumbaikars to extend support to Uddhav via posters; which have been placed across Mumbai. This comes days after Thackeray’s statement, where said that BJP and Sena are together from past 25 years as they hold similar views on Hindutva, status of Hindus, national interest, and national safety. Thackeray said, but what is Hindutva? I used to ask this from my father and founder of Shiv Sena, Bala Sahib Thackeray; he used to tell me that Nationalism is our Hindutva. We don’t want that Hindus should only ring the bells in the temple, keep a pony tail or wear the sacred thread. Balaji’s Hindutva ideology should now be made popular and should be followed”. Taking a jibe at BJP, Sena said that BJP doesn’t have the right to decide who is nationalist and who is not. Sena had boycotted the no-confidence motion against BJP last week.
