Shikhar Sammelan: Rs 2000 note illegal, says Congress; Modi considers himself as sultan says Owaisi

New Delhi: The ABP News’ special show ‘Shikhar Sammelan’ which discussed, questioned leaders from nearly all political parties on burning issues is being held on Friday. No doubt, demonetisation dominated the entire event with BJP supporting the move and opposition parties opposing it. BJP IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad spoke on how digital literacy is bridging the digital divide and changing India radically. "Countries that used to support Pakistan are now distancing away from it", said Prasad. “Let me tell everybody and assure all, your personal gold is safe. There is no threat to your gold,” said Ravi Shankar Prasad. "We are proud of our soldiers and let us not do politics on this issue. Pakistan sponsoring terrorism is not new. What is new is India’s tough response. Earlier, our hands were tied while dealing with Pakistan but now we retaliate strongly. We have isolated Pakistan, he said. Subramanian Swamy supported demonetisation but cautioned-"After all, for first 6 months Mrs Gandhi’s Emergency was popular. And then popular mood turned against her. Despite problems of demonetisation people still with PM Modi. But if issues not resolved soon, mood will turn nasty." "Implementation by FM of demonetisation has been extremely poor and tardy. No preparation at all" Swamy said and added, "PM Modi should form a crisis management team to addresses issues". "Demonetisation is a historic decision, an ordinary PM cannot make such a decision. We are with Narendra Modi", said Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh CM. Speaking about investment conditions in the state he said-"Investors are ushering to Madhya Pradesh." AIMIM Speaking at the event on demonetisation Asaduddin Owaisi of AIMIM said-"PM Modi considers himself as sultan, and everyone else as his ghulams. BJP wants no one to raise voice against them, it’s an arrogant attitude. They believe it’s their Sultanate in Delhi." Demonetisation will prove to be a failure for the nation, Owaisi added. Samajwadi Party We are not against demonetisation but we are opposing mismanagement, said Naresh Agrawal of Samajwadi Party. Congress "Using executive action for demonetisation is unconstitutional. Rs 2000 note is illegal", said Congress leader Manish Tewari. "Cashless economy and e-wallets are impossible in India where there are only 35 crore bank accounts", he added. "Rahul believes in decentralisation. He is not a power seeker. Modi believes in centralisation and power", said Congress' veteran leader Digvijaya Singh. "There will be no impact on corruption by introducing Rs 2000 note. PM gave 4 reasons for demonetisation but none is working. Graft, black money, terror, counterfeit won’t go", he added. In the show, budding actors like Sushant Singh Rajput and film directors also participated.
