Sena has claimed, that after 2014, so far 40,000 farmers have committed suicide.
BJP will be exposed in 2019: Sena
Sena has claimed in Saamna that maximum number of suicides by farmers have taken place in Maharashtra. It further said that instead of focusing on the number of suicides, the government is repeating its promises but they will pay a price of the same in 2019.
Sena further asked if BJP would act, after making tall promises. It further said that PM Modi on Wednesday addressed the farmers of the country, the farmers were glued to their screens hoping for something new from PM, but they were all disheartened.
Sena further claimed that BJP had claimed while addressing farmers that they would double farmer income by 2022, but what is new in it? The same promise was made to the farmers ahead of 2014 elections as well, and on the basis of the promises Congress was kicked out of power by BJP. But, the Indian farmer and its produce have gone into coma.
The editorial further read that it has been over 4 years that BJP made promises to farmers, but the farmer situation is same as it was then.
