Rajnath Singh Concludes Meeting With CDS, Chief Of Three Services, Reviews Security Along Western Borders

The Union defence minister reviewed the security situation with CDS  the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff and the chief of the three services on Friday amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The meeting was held in South Block in the national capital chiefs of all three armed forces. 

The Union defence minister reviewed the security situation with CDS  the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). 

The meeting focused on assessing the current situation amid heightened tensions and planning further actions. 

Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh today chaired a high-level meeting at South Block, New Delhi to review the security situation along the western border and operational preparedness of the Indian Armed Forces," said the Ministry of Defence in a social media post. 

"Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh attended the meeting," it added. 

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting with Director Generals of the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Union Home Secretary, Director of the Intelligence Bureau. 

The meeting is being held to review security along India-Pakistan border & airports in the country, reported PTI quoting sources. 

The series of high-level meetings in the national capital comes a day after Pakistan resorted to failed bid to launch missile and drone attacks on several military stations in the country.
