The consecration ceremony in the garbha griha, or the sanctum sanctorum, was attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP CM Yogi Adityanath as well. After the consecration ceremony, PM Modi performed aarti, pushpanjali, and ended the rituals with a 'parikrama', or revolution around the garbha griha, and a 'dandavat pranaam'.
Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Ayushmann Khurrana, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Rohit Shetty, Ranbir Kapoor Aliya Bhatt, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Rajinikanth, Saina Nehwal, Anil Kumble, Venkatesh Prasad, Sonu Nigam, Vivek Oberoi, and many others attended the Ram Lalla idol consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
Countries across the world, such as the US, the UK, Germany, Australia, Nepal, celebrated the occasion with car rallies, processions, and cultural events.
Ayodhya is now adorned with vibrant hues and religious fervour as the town eagerly anticipates the Pran Pratishtha consecration ceremony at the Ram temple on Monday. The serene town, located about 140 km west of Lucknow, has transformed into a spectacle of devotion, adorned with new infrastructure ahead of a historic event in India's political and religious history.
On the eve of the ceremony, ceremonial gates were adorned with 'Jai Shri Ram' in floral patterns that illuminated the city at night, contributing to the festive ambience. Saffron flags adorned the streets and skyline, while cut-outs of the Ram temple and Lord Ram graced prominent locations, turning Ayodhya into a land of festivities.
