PM Modi, Rahul, Sonia Gandhi Pay Tributes To Rajiv Gandhi On 33rd Death Anniversary

Rajiv Gandhi Death Anniversary: Several Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi paid homage to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary on Tuesday at Veer Bhumi in Delhi. India's Prime Minister between 1984 and 1989, Gandhi was assassinated by LTTE cadres at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu in 1991 during an election campaign.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot also paide homage to the former prime minister.

Other Congress leaders like party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, P Chidambaram and Sachin Pilot also paid their respects to the former prime minister in the national capital.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Rajiv Gandhi. "On his death anniversary, my tributes to our former PM Shri Rajiv Gandhi Ji," Modi said in a post on X.

Rahul Gandhi took to X and paid his tributes to the former PM. "Father, Your dreams, my dreams, Your aspirations, my responsibilities. Your memories, today and always, always in my heart," the Congress leader said.
