PM Modi Spreading Hate & Fear In India: Rahul Gandhi Hits Out At Centre In Cong's 'Halla Bol' Rally

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi alleged that there is pressure on institutions such as media, judiciary, and Election Commission as Modi government is attacking all of them.

New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday alleged that hatred and anger have been rising in India since the BJP government came to power in 2014.

"Hatred is rising in India. Fear of inflation and unemployment are increasing in India and due to this, hatred is rising. BJP and RSS dividing the country and creating fear in the country. Only 2 industrialists in the country benefitting from this fear and hatred," the Congress MP alleged, as quoted by news agency ANI.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is spreading hate, fear in India; our country's enemies will benefit from this," he said, as reported by news agency PTI.

At the Congress party's ‘Halla Bol’ rally in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the now-repealed 'Three black farm laws' were brought not to help farmers, but to benefit two-three industrialists.

He reiterated his "Two India" comment as he remarked that two Indias have been created by the Modi government, one of poor, farmers, unemployed, and the other of a "few chosen industrialists".

He said that people are facing lots of hardships, and when the Opposition tries to raise their voice in Parliament, the Modi government does not allow it, PTI reported.

The Wayanad MP also alleged that there is pressure on institutions such as media, judiciary, and Election Commission as the Centre is attacking all of them.

"Our Constitution is the soul of the country, every Indian has to work towards saving it otherwise country cannot be saved," he said.

Rahul Gandhi brought up the ED questioning in the National Heral Case and alleged that "anyone against Modi is attacked, was made to sit for 55 hours at ED office but want to tell Prime Minister, I am not scared of your ED."

He spoke about the grand old party's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' saying that it was important as "we have to go directly to people and tell them the truth."

"Congress unites the country, removes hate and fear. When this happens, the nation progresses," Rahul Gandhi remarked.

The Congress held the mega rally 'Mehangai Par Halla Bol' today in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan against inflation, unemployment, and hike in Goods and Services Tax.

Earlier in the day, senior Congress leader and party secretary general in charge of communications Jairam Ramesh said that the rally has nothing to do with upcoming state elections or the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

“Today's Halla Bol rally has nothing to do with state elections or the 2024 election. It is a befitting message to the insensitive central govt as people of the country remain troubled by inflation and unemployment,” he said, as quoted by ANI.
