'Rahul A Fighter, Will Give Dignified Reply': NCP's Supriya Sule On ECI Notice To Congress Leader
NCP leader Supriya Sule said Rahul Gandhi will give an "honest and dignified" reply to the EC's show cause notice.
New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is a “fighter” and he will give an "honest and dignified" reply to the show cause notice issued by Election Commission of India over his “panauti” (unlucky) remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, news agency ANI reported.
"He (Rahul Gandhi) is a fighter and he will fight. I am confident he will put up a brave fight and will not be scared of anyone. I am sure he will give an honest and dignified answer to the EC's show cause notice," ANI quoted Sule as saying.

It is to be noted that the ECI issued a show cause notice to Rahul Gandhi over his “panauti”, “pickpocket” and “loan waiver” jibes against PM Modi at a rally in poll-bound Rajasthan’s Barmer. The EC action comes in the wake of a complaint filed by the BJP.
ECI has asked Rahul Gandhi to appear before it on November 25.
Slamming the saffron party, Sule said there were several instances where the BJP spoke against Ragul Gandhi’s family and so it should not react to the remarks of the Congress leader now.
“We have so many examples of BJP talking about his family. So, now if he speaks something, why is there a need to feel bad. They (BJP) had even talked about his great grandfather,” PTI quoted the NCP leader as saying.
Addressing a poll rally in Barmer, Gandhi said PM stands for “panauti Modi”. He said it was due to the presence of PM Modi at the Ahmedabad stadium that the Indian cricket team lost the final World Cup match against Australia.
In its notice, the ECI also said Rahul Gandhi’s remarks were in violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
