Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said that Raghav Chadha suffered a serious eye problem and had underwent a surgery for the same in UK.

Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has undergone major eye surgery in the United Kingdom, said Delhi minister and party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday. Chadha's condition was "serious" and there was a possibility of blindness and had gone to the UK for treatment, he added.

He will be back soon in good health and will join the campaign, Bharadwaj said.

On Monday, an FIR was registered against a YouTube channel for misleading content against Chadha, equating him with fugitive Vijay Mallya.

The FIR was lodged against the YouTube channel 'Capital TV' on the complaint of Vikas Parashar, son of AAP candidate from the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat, Ashok Pappi Prashar. The complainant has accused the channel of using defamatory and "misleading content", according to an IANS report.

"The statements/contents of false videos on Capital TV channel and others shall harm the public peace and harmony...and is likely to promote enmity between different groups in the country on grounds of religion, caste, race and community," reads the complaint.

According to the FIR, the channel made claims that "Vijay Mallya fled to the UK after taking public money, and similarly, a Rajya Sabha member left for England, claiming it was for eye treatment," as per the IANS report.

According to DCP Jaskiranjeet, a case has been registered based on the complaint. Regarding the matter, Vikas Parashar has said that the videos on the YouTube channel are disturbing peace and harmony, hence they should also be deleted immediately.
