Manish Sisodia Challenges Punjab CM Channi To Share List Of 250 Schools Transformed By Cong Govt

Punjab Election 2022: Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has challenged Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi to give a list of 250 schools.

Punjab Election 2022: The battle between the ruling Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party over the Punjab assembly elections has gone a step further. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asked Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to name 250 schools that were rejuvenated during the Congress regime in the state.

Sisodia had released a list of the names of those 250 schools in Delhi on Sunday. He said that these schools had been revamped in five years under the Aam Aadmi Party government. He had also asked the Punjab government to release a similar list. So as to compare the change and development of schools run by the two state governments.

"We had released a list of 250 schools to compare the education model in Delhi and the education model of Punjab," the deputy chief minister said. "24 hours have passed but Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh has not responded so far. I now urge Punjab Chief Minister Channi to share the list so that the people of the state also know," he added.

Pargat Singh accepted challenge

Sisodia alleged that the Congress government in Punjab has not done any work in the field of education. He had invited Pargat Singh to debate the education model of the two governments and also proposed joint inspections in 10 government schools each in Punjab and Delhi.

Reacting to Sisodia's invitation, Pargat Singh had tweeted on Friday, "I welcome Delhi's Hon'ble Education Minister Manish Sisodia's suggestion to compare government schools in Punjab with Delhi schools. However, we will take 250-250 schools in Punjab and Delhi instead of 10 schools."

Besides education, AAP being a major challenger for Congress in Punjab is also targetting the ruling government over the issue of electricity, alleging that their promises are being copied. The Delhi Chief Minister had even gone on to call his Punjab counterpart "fake Kejriwal".
