Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann To See 'Delhi Model' Of Education, Health Services Tomorrow

Before taking office, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) committed to improving the state of Punjab's schools and hospitals.

New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his senior officers will travel to Delhi on Monday to learn about the "Delhi model" and duplicate it in the state, according to an official, news agency PTI reported.

Before taking office, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) committed to improving the state of Punjab's schools and hospitals.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will visit the major health institutes and schools in the national capital on Monday in an effort to improve the state's current health and education infrastructure, according to a representative for the Chief Minister's Office.

According to the spokesperson, he will be joined by a battery of top officers from both the school education and the health and family welfare departments, who will provide input in the two critical areas directly related to human development.

According to a statement released by the Delhi government, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Mann, together with their teams, will tour government schools, hospitals, and mohalla clinics to learn how the "Delhi Model" may be implemented in Punjab.

"Kejriwal will be personally present to explain to the Punjab chief minister how Delhi's transformation has taken place under him. He will be accompanied by ministers and officials concerned of Delhi," the statement was quoted by PTI in its report.

Mann will visit the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Excellence in Kalkaji, as well as Mohalla clinics in Greater Kailash, Chirag Enclave, and Kautilya Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, according to a spokesman for the Punjab Chief Minister's Office.

He stated that the Punjab chief minister and his Delhi counterpart, Arvind Kejriwal, will jointly launch the school's new swimming pool.

Mann will then tour the health facilities at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Dilshad Garden.

A few memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the Delhi government on providing better health and education services in Punjab are expected to be signed, according to the spokesperson.

The AAP-led administration in Punjab had previously come under fire from the opposition when Kejriwal met with senior personnel from the province.

While Mann claimed that he had sent the officers to the capital for training, the opposition claimed that his administration was governed from Delhi via remote control.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin paid a visit to the Kejriwal government's schools and mohalla clinics in Delhi earlier this month.
