Pulwama, J&K: Terrorists barge into house, gun down woman

Pulwama: A woman was shot dead by terrorists at Nyayina in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Shockingly, the terrorists barged into the woman's house and shot her down, following which the injured woman was immediately rushed to the local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The police are on the spot and an investigation has been launched into the incident. Earlier today, terrorists also hurled a grenade at a police patrolling party here. However, no casualties have been reported. On October 2nd, a group of terrorists today attacked policemen guarding a minority picket in Pulwama and escaped after snatching two AK-47 rifles. On Thursday night, security forces recovered arms and ammunition from Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in Baramulla (J&K). A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was also arrested from the state's Rampura village during search operations, Sridhar Patil, a senior government official from the district told "We recovered one pistol along with ammunitions and some war-like stores from him," Sridhar Patil, superintendent of police, Kulgam said. The BSF said they had foiled two infiltration bids yesterday and that Pakistani forces were pushing militants over onto their side of the border.
