Pramod Sawant Will Be BJP's CM In Goa Assembly Elections 2022, Claims National Secretary
13 Congress MLAs have joined BJP after being elected on Congress ticket in 2017 elections. The 40-member state assembly currently has 28 BJP MLAs.
Goa Assembly Polls 2022: BJP National Secretary Ct Ravi has said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will be a "100 percent" contender for the post of chief minister of the ruling BJP for the Goa assembly elections. Ravi, who is on a two-day visit to Goa to strengthen the party's organizational structure to prepare for the elections, said strong leaders who have joined the party in the last few years have put it in a position to win more seats this time during the elections.
Asked late on Tuesday night if the current chief minister would be the party's face for the assembly elections that would be held in early 2022, Ravi said, " 100 percent its Pramod Sawant. He is our chief minister. He will lead the election and win. Work is going well under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Sawant has a 'good image' among the people of the state."
"Powerful leaders strengthened the party in Goa"
BJP's Goa desk in-charge Ravi also said that the "powerful leaders" who have joined the party in the last few years have strengthened the party in Goa and will help the organization win a majority in the upcoming elections. Ravi said, "Our organization is also good. The health minister and other powerful leaders from outside have joined the BJP. BJP will win more seats with a majority."
