PM Modi To Address Webinar On Budget 2022-23, Focus On Ways To Accelerate Pace Of Growth

Experts from the public and the private sectors, academia and the industry will take part in the webinar.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a webinar on Budget 2022-23 today. The motive behind organising the webinar, 'Financing for growth and aspirational economy', is to accelerate pace of development work announced during the budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam in February.

In order to achieve the goal, a series of webinars across various key sectors are being organised for the speedy implementation of budget announcements, said a Finance Ministry statement on Sunday.

Experts from the public and the private sectors, academia and the industry will take part in the webinar and discuss strategies towards implementation of various issues under different sectors. 

"In participation at the highest level, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a special address during the inaugural session. The webinar involves participation from 16 ministries, NITI Aayog, Capacity Building Commission and State Governments," the Finance ministry statement said, as reported by news agency PTI.

"It will also include participation from regulators like RBI, SEBI, IFSCA, IRDAI, NABARD, GIFT City, Industry associations and subject Matter Experts/ Investor community," the statement further said. 

The webinar will be held in five breakaway sessions with focus on Financing of Infrastructure; Financing Sectors with High employment potential; Creating Enablers of Infrastructure; Navigating the digital opportunity for Banking and Finance; Climate and Sustainable Finance and Financing for Sunrise Sectors, reported PTI.

Through the webinar, the Ministry of Finance aims at getting valuable inputs from industry leaders in order to push the pace of growth and achieve the agenda of the theme.
