'PM Is Scared Of Speaking Truth': Rahul Gandhi Attacks Narendra Modi Over Parliament Speech

Rahul Gandhi also pointed out that the speech of Prime Minister was all about Congress, but he did not speak a single word about BJP and its promises made to the people of the country.

New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday slammed the remarks made by Narendra Modi in Parliament earlier in the day saying that the Prime Minister is scared of Congress and is afraid of speaking the truth.

While speaking to reporters in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister did not answer three important questions raised by Congress.

"I had raised three important issues - first, that there are two Indias that is being created for rich and poor, second, that our institutions are being captured one by one and third was about China and Pakistan's growing relationship, but the PM did not address any of these issues," he said.

Replying in to the debate on Motion of Thanks to President Ram Nath Kovind's address to the joint sitting of Parliament, Prime Minister had said the Congress "crossed all limits" during the Covid pandemic and accused them of instigating and scaring innocent labourers into fleeing to their native states.

Responding to PM Modi's remark, Rahul Gandhi said that he had warned the PM of the Coronavirus threat, but he didn't listen to him.

"Now, again I am warning about China and Pakistan developing closer ties and their relationship is a threat to our nation," PM Modi.

The Wayanad MP also pointed out that the speech of Prime Minister was all about Congress, what Congress did not do and Jawahar Lal Nehru, but he did not speak a single word about BJP and its promises made to the people of the country.

When asked about China and Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi said that the incumbent central government has a bankrupt foreign policy and the Prime Minister has allowed China and Pakistan to come together.

Furthermore, Rahul Gandhi also took a pod shot at External Affair Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar.

"EAM said that China and Pakistan got together earlier, the gentleman doesn't understand his job very well," Rahul Gandhi said.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party over inflation and compared the present economic growth to UPA's regime. He said that India is the only country in the world, which is witnessing high economic growth.
