Mr. Arora highlighted how Zydus Wellness has prioritized the health and well-being of its employees. For him, the focus was on protecting the people, as people are the biggest asset of the organization. “We made sure to provide safety kits and financial support to all our employees. We protected the job of every worker and ensured increments in both the years to keep them motivated, as well as financially stable. We substantially increased insurance for our employees and provided additional support to those who were infected with COVID-19,” He said.
Furthermore, Zydus Wellness had collaborated with a third-party logistics firm to distribute their products to Kirana stores during the pandemic. This proved to be very beneficial for the company.
ABP News initiated this special conclave to understand the impact of COVID-19 on different sectors and communities, while also examining the ways in which Indian businesses have addressed this impact. Through a series of conversations with the people who are leading the fight against Covid-19, the second edition of India vs Corona E-Conclave looked at how businesses are combating the crisis with compassion and innovation.
Speaking at the conclave, Mr. Tarun Arora said, “I’m extremely happy to be a part of ABP News’ initiative. Today, I would like to share one of my key learnings amidst the pandemic - You can’t control the external environment but you can control your response to it. It is important to have faith in your people and work together, towards the benefit of all.”
Apart from this, the conclave delved into various pertinent themes like ‘Lending a Helping Hand to society’ which involved conversations around noteworthy CSR initiatives of Indian companies and the importance of social responsibility in today’s world. Various leaders threw light on how many business leaders are putting humanity at par with, if not above profitability.
