‘Pledge Of 11 Jumlas’: Akhilesh Yadav’s Swipe At PM Modi, Priyanka Gandhi Likens Speech To ‘Double Maths Period’
Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised Narendra Modi’s remarks in Lok Sabha as BJP leaders and their allies supported him for 'exposing' Congress.
Parliament Winter Session 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the Lok Sabha on Saturday, during a debate on the 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution, has sparked sharp reactions from opposition leaders while drawing strong support from BJP members. The over 110-minute speech included 11 resolutions, which the Prime Minister described as essential for strengthening the country’s unity and development.
Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav criticised the Prime Minister’s remarks, describing them as “a very long speech” filled with “the pledge of 11 jumlas.” The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister listed Rs 25 Lakhs in bank accounts, doubling farmers' income, two crore jobs, GST and Aginveer scheme as 'jumla'.
He added, “Those who talk about dynastic politics, their party is full of dynasties. The truth is that the reservation of SC/ST, OBC, and Dalits has been taken away. The day will soon come when caste census will be held, and people will get their rights and respect as per their population.”

She remarked, “The PM has not spoken one thing which is new. He has bored us... I had thought the PM would say something new, something nice.” She also questioned the BJP’s stance on corruption, asking why the party refuses to allow discussions on the Adani issue in Parliament.
