'Jammed Pakistan's China-Made Air Defence System': How Op Sindoor Achieved Success

It was also revealed that Operation Sindoor was carried out in 23 minutes after India jammed and bypassed China-made air defence system.

The Government of India on Wednesday gave a closer look into how the armed forces successfully carried out Operation Sindoor, striking terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

One of the key takeaways from India's major counterterror operation was the successful jamming of the Chinese air defence system installed by Pakistan all along its border and Line of Control with India, reported NDTV.

Another significant revelation about the operation is that the mission was carried out in under 23 minutes.

Operation Sindoor was launched by Indian armed forces on May 7 in retaliation to the April 22 Pahalgam attack where 26 civilians were brutally killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bypassing China-Made System

The statement mentioned how India carried out the mission in just 23 minutes as Pakistan's air defence systems failed miserably in detecting India's drones and missiles.

"Indian Air Force bypassed and jammed Pakistan's Chinese-supplied air defence systems, completing the mission in just 23 minutes, demonstrating India's technological edge," as per the statement.

The statement also highlighted the 100 per cent use of the 'Made in India' air defence system, which performed exceptionally.

Indian air defence system also successfully thwarted Pakistan's attacking bid which included Chinese-made PL-15 missiles, Turkish-made UAVs called 'Yiha' or 'Yeehaw', as well as long-range rockets, quadcopters, and commercial drones.

"Operation Sindoor produced concrete evidence of hostile technologies neutralized by Indian systems," the statement read.

India has backed its claim by providing evidence of parts and pieces recovered and identified forensically from the wreckage of these projectiles.

"This shows that despite Pakistan's attempts to exploit advanced foreign-supplied weaponry, India's indigenous air defence and electronic warfare networks remained superior," the statement read.
