Operation Sindoor Against Pakistan Not Over, Says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has confirmed 'Operation Sindoor' is ongoing. All parties have backed the mission as the Air Force has been given a free hand to act upon any suspicious activity.

In a major statement, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Operation Sindoor is not over yet. He said: "Operation Sindoor is still on and it would not be prudent to give out more details at this point." Singh made the statement at the all-party meeting in Delhi on Thursday.

After the meeting, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said: "Operation Sindoor is ongoing and all political parties have backed it. All the leaders in the meeting today congratulated the Army. All political parties are with the government in every decision. They have shown maturity and everyone is on the same page on this matter. The whole country is together now."

He further said that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urged the leaders of all parties to refrain from engaging in political arguments and contribute to building the country and ensuring its security.

Earlier on Thursday, the Air Force was given a free hand in identifying suspicious elements and opening fire.

9 Terror Camps Destroyed

On Wednesday, India completely destroyed nine out of 21 identified terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in a 25-minute operation. The attacks were carried out using aerial strikes and artillery fire. Now, 12 camps remain.

Indian security forces are on high alert and fully prepared to deal with any "Pakistani misadventures", the Centre has affirmed.

Operation Sindoor is a highly coordinated and targeted military offensive launched by all three armed forces. It avoided military installations and civilian areas using precision weapons, pinpointed visuals and confirmed intel.

Meanwhile, alert BSF forces foiled an infiltration bid along the International Border in Punjab's Firozpur. Security personnel shot down the infiltrator, who was stealthily moving towards the border fence. The body was recovered in the morning and handed over to the police.
