Nuh Violence: 93 FIRs Lodged So Far, Govt Claims Clashes Were 'Planned'
46 FIRs have been booked in Nuh, 3 each in Faridabad and Rewari, 23 in Gurugram, and 18 in Palwal. A total of 176 people have been arrested so far while 78 have been detained,
Haryana Additional Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad on Thursday said that 93 FIRs have been lodged so far in connection with the communal violence in Nuh and the situation is returning to normalcy. He also denied that no exodus had taken place from Nuh which saw violent clashes on Monday after a mob attacked a Vishwa Hindu Parishad procession following rumours that cow vigilante Monu Manesar would be participating in the march.
"The situation is quickly returning to normalcy. We are tackling sporadic activities. We have adequate force and requested the Govt of India & they have been prompt in giving us 24 companies,” as per ANI.

Addressing a press conference, Prasad said that 46 FIRs have been booked in Nuh, 3 each in Faridabad and Rewari, 23 in Gurugram, and 18 in Palwal. A total of 176 people have been arrested so far while 78 have been detained, he added.
“The procession has been taking place for the last three years. There are peace committees, whose meetings are held earlier. A meeting of this committee takes place before granting permission for the yatra and it was held this time also. It was assured in this meeting that the procession would be peaceful,” he said at the press conference.

Prasad said that the authorities were ready to airdrop the security forces and denied that no exodus had taken place from Nuh.
Alleging the incident to be “pre-planned”, Prasad said that there are enough security forces in the state to protect everyone, and added that a chronology has to be understood behind the violence.
A permanent centre of the Central Reserve Police Force and Rapid Action Force will be set up in Nuh and Mewat, he added.
78 vehicles have been damaged and an equal number of illegal encroachments were removed in the Nuh area recently, said that top official.
