Notes ban: Those living life honestly are happy with this decision, says FM Arun Jaitley
New Delhi: The Finance Minister of India Arun Jaitley, on Wednesday, applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision of demonetization Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in order to control the menace of black money and corruption.
In an interview to DD News channel, he said-"Those living life honestly are happy with this decision; it will help in curbing corruption, black money and terror funding".
Speaking on the notes ban he said-"Black money is not a fundamental right".
"As India moves to more developed economy, it has to accept one can't work on premise that everyone has right to black money", Union Minister said.
"Every state will benefit from the move", FM said and added replacement currency will be in the market in 3-4 weeks.
The success of PM's decision was secrecy being maintained, said Jaitley.

Talking about political funding FM said-"The only political impact that this decision will have is that it would help in cleaning up process of political funding."
India will become a more tax compliant society, he said.
