Madhya Pradesh Elections 2018: Requested PM to waive farmers' loans, he didn't utter a word, says Rahul Gandhi
Earlier, Gandhi offers prayers at Peetambra Shaktipeeth in Datia along with Congress leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath. Many political bigwigs have paid obeisance to the deity including his grandmother Indira Gandhi. Rajasthan Chief Minister and BJP leader Vasundhara Raje Scindia is the chairperson of the Peetambara Trust, that has undertaken the responsibility of the management of the shrine.
Datia (Madhya Pradesh): Following his visit to a Hindu temple here, Congress President Rahul Gandhi came down hard on PM Narendra Modi while addressing a rally. Gandhi accused the prime minister of being ignorant towards the plight of farmers who are burdened under debts. Gandhi said he once went to the prime minister’s office in the national capital to raise the issue of farmers and requesting him to waive loans but Modi refused to say anything on the issue. Accusing the PM of clearing off loans of the rich, Gandhi said it is Modi’s duty to also give relief to the poor farmers but “he didn’t utter a word”.
Further, he lashed out at certain BJP leaders who have been charged under sexual harassment. Gandhi said PM Narendra Modi’s slogan 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' has now converted to 'Beti Padhao aur Beti ko BJP ke MLA se bachao.

Modi ji gave the slogan 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao'. We liked the slogan but then a BJP MLA raped someone. The CM tried to shield him, PM didn't expel him from the party. He never spoke about it. Actual slogan is 'Beti Padhao aur Beti ko BJP ke MLA se bachao.
Gandhi has been alleging in most of his rallies that PM in anti-farmers and only industrialists matter to him, many of them who have fleased banks and fled the country.

Elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh on November 28. Elections to the five assemblies including MP will be out on December 11.
