MNS Puts Poster In Front Of Shiv Sena Bhawan Saying Raj Thackeray Is 'True Heir' Of Bal Thackeray
Maharashtra Navanirman Sena put up a poster outside Sena Bhawan in Mumbai claiming Raj Thackeray to be the 'true heir' of Bal Thackeray's legacy.
Just a day after six Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) workers were detained for playing Hanuman Chalisa on a loudspeaker at a ground in Kurla, the party put up a poster outside the Shiv Sena Bhawan, the headquarters of the party in Dadar, Mumbai.
The poster is a letter addressing the Shiv Sena founder, late Bal Thackeray. The letter claims Raj Thackeray to be the 'true heir' of Bal Thackeray's legacy and urges the late Shiv Sena supremo to 'give wisdom' to CM Uddhav Thackeray.
Here is the poster that was put up by MNS workers outside Sena Bhawan, Dadar:
Here is the - Marathi to English - translation of what is written on the poster:
"Honorable Balasaheb,
Look, your son, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, is banning the singing of Hanuman Chalisa despite being a Hindu. He is taking out the loudspeakers put up by Hindus.
Your 'Thackeray Principle' and its legacy is truly being run by Raj saheb Thackeray. If possible, give wisdom to Uddhav Thackeray on the issue of Hindus."
The poster has just been removed by the security personnel of Shiv Sena Bhavan.
The issue of playing Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers came to the fore after Raj Thackeray, in his annual Gudhi Padwa address asked his party workers to play the religious tune outside mosques.
“I am not against prayers, but the government should take a decision on removing mosque loudspeakers. I am warning now... Remove loudspeakers or else will put loudspeakers in front of the mosque and play Hanuman Chalisa,” he had said in Mumbai.
