Shah Rukh Khan's team had registered a complaint with the Bandra Police last week.
A man named Faizan Khan has been arrested in Chhattisgarh for allegedly issuing a death threat to actor Shah Rukh Khan. The threat was received last week, following which Shah Rukh Khan's team had registered a complaint with the Bandra Police. A Mumbai Police team has reached Raipur and will seek the transit remand of the accused man.

Faizan Khan was summoned by the police earlier as the threat call was made using a phone number registered in his name. The lawyer told the police that he had lost his phone.
Extortionist Demanded Rs 50 Lakh From Shah Rukh Khan
The threat call was made on a landline number and was received by a Mumbai policeman on November 5. The man identified himself as "Hindustani" and asked for Rs 50 lakh. The caller said: "Ask Shah Rukh Khan to pay up Rs 50 lakh. If he doesn't, he will die... My name is not important, but if you want to write, not down the name 'Hindustani'."
The Bandra Police filed a case under sections 308(4) (extortion involving threats of death or serious injury) and 351(3)(4) (criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the caller who threatened Shah Rukh Khan.
Faizan Khan Had Filed Complaint Against Shah Rukh
City Superintendent of Police (Civil Lines) Ajay Kumar earlier told PTI that Faizan told police that he lost the mobile phone on November 2. Faizan Khan, however, confessed that he had lodged a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan over a dialogue in his movie ‘Anjaam’ (1994) referring to deer hunting.
"I hail from Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community (which is from Rajasthan) is my friend. It is in their religion to protect deer. So, if a Muslim says something like this about deer, it is condemnable. Therefore, I objected," he had said.
The police are taking these threats seriously after the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui outside his son's Bandra office on Dushehra in October. Actor Salman Khan has also received multiple threat calls in the last few days. Baba Siddiqui was close to both Salman and Shah Rukh Khan and is credited with ending a long dispute between the two superstars.
