Check Out This Bird's Eye View Of Sangam As Maha Kumbh Devotees Take Holy Dip A Day Before Maha Shivratri

A large influx of people gathered at the Maha Kumbh on the last day of the mela and took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Large numbers of devotees have continued to arrive on Tuesday as well, ahead of the Mahashivratri festival on Wednesday. The Maha Kumbh Mela, which has seen a historic turnout, will continue until February 26. More than 60 per cent of the country's population has visited the sacred confluence of rivers at Maha Kumbh and participated in the ritualistic holy dip. Additionally, millions of vehicles have moved across the region.

Videos from the Triveni Sangam captured devotees taking a holy dip, highlighting the deep spiritual significance of the event.

So far, over 62 crore devotees have participated, with more than 1.30 crore taking a dip on Monday alone.

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on X, "More than 1.30 crore devotees today and over 63.36 crore devotees so far have taken a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam at Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj, a living symbol of India's faith and Sanatan's harmony. This influx of people could also be the result of the 15,000 sanitation workers who attempted to set a Guinness World Record, after they carried out a synchronised cleanliness drive across four zones here on Monday.

Prayagraj Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, Mahakumbh's Special Executive Officer Akanksha Rana and the Guinness Book of World Records supervisory team were present on the occasion, according to an official statement.

The statement said that chief supervisor and judge Rishi Nath from the Guinness Book of World Records had arrived in Prayagraj from London with his team. The sanitation workers were counted by scanning the code on their wristbands. The final validation report of the record will be released after three days, according to the statement.
