Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan's Facebook Page Hacked

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan's FB page had been hacked. "My Facebook profile appears to have been hacked since this morning"said Honorable Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan's Facebook page had been hacked. "My Facebook profile appears to have been hacked since this morning, according to the Honorable Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, said officials on Saturday. The issue has been brought to our attention, and we are working to get the page back up," tweeted Kerala Raj Bhavan's PRO.

Earlier in May, in a similar incident, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, a leader of the Congress, purportedly sent and then deleted a tweet containing an infamous quote of Rajiv Gandhi that was connected to the 1984 riots. He then claimed that his Twitter account had been hacked. Chowdhury has reported this to the Delhi Police and filed a complaint. The former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi was depicted in an infographic along with his famous remark, "When a big tree falls, the ground shakes."

But he quickly removed it and published another post with a different quotation. In the wake of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's murder, former PM Rajiv Gandhi made a divisive speech that appeared to defend the 1984 Sikh massacre.

Late Rajiv Gandhi made this speech: "We must remember Indiraji. We must remember why her assassination happened. We must remember who could be the people behind this. When Indira's assassination happened, there were riots in the country. We know that the hearts of the Indian people were full of anger and that for a few days people felt India was shaking. When a big tree falls, the earth shakes."

Chowdhury later said on Twitter, "The tweet against my name in the Twitter account has nothing to do with my own observation. A malicious campaign is propagated by those forces inimical to me."

Further in a rectified tweet he said: "Development is not about factories, dams and roads. Development is about people. The goal is material, cultural and spiritual fulfilment for the people. The human factor is of supreme value in development."
