JK Police Bust Terror Module, Arrest Six Lashkar Associates In Pulwama
Police said it was revealed the arrested militant associates were involved in providing logistics, shelter, managing and transferring militant finances and motivating youth to act as hybrid militants
New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have busted a terror module and arrested six alleged terrorist associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Pulwama district on Friday.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the six arrested militants have been identified as Rauf Ahmad Lone alias Amjid of Lenhar Kakapora, Aaqib Maqbool Bhat of Alochibagh Pampore, Javed Ahmad Dar and Sajad Ahmad Dar of Kakapora, Arshid Ahmad Mir and Ramiz Raja of Parigam Pulwama.
The Jammu and Kashmir police said that during the initial investigation, it was revealed that the arrested militant associates were involved in providing logistics, shelter, managing and transferring militant finances and motivating the youth to act as hybrid militants. The module was active in the district for the past one year, officials added.
The police officials also said that the investigating team also came to know that the arrested accused had been working for the terrorist commander Reyaz Ahmad Dar. Reyaz Ahmad Dar is a resident of Lashkar-e-Taiba's Shiraz, Sedargund Kakapora, Pulwama police said the six militants were in constant touch with him. The arrested accused on Dar's directions were instrumental in perpetuating terrorism in the district, they added.
A case has been registered under FIR no. 19/2022 under relevant sections of the law at Kakapora police station and an investigation has been initiated, police said.
