Security forces achieved a resounding success to foil the nefarious design of terrorists as three unidentified terrorists were gunned down on Saturday (August 29) in a joint operation carried out by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and CRPF in Zadoora area in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. One soldiers also got martyred during the encounter. The security forces have also recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in the area. Meanwhile, the identities of the slain terrorists are yet to be ascertained.

It still remains unknown if the encounter has come to an end or not as the picture still remains quite hazy as to how many terrorists are holed up in the area. Earlier on Friday, four terrorists were killed while one was captured alive in an encounter with security forces in Kiloora area of Shopian district.
