Jammu And Kashmir Police Arrest Advocate Mian Muzaffar Under Public Safety Act
Advocate Mian Muzaffar, nephew of former Bar president Mian Qayoom, has been arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail.
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested Advocate Mian Muzaffar, the nephew of former Bar president Advocate Mian Qayoom, under the Public Safety Act (PSA), according to family members. Muzaffar was apprehended from his residence at approximately 1:00 AM, sources reported.
Family members disclosed, "Authorities informed us that he has been booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and subsequently shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu."
The circumstances surrounding Muzaffar's detention remain unclear, and his family is seeking more information regarding the charges that led to his arrest.

Former Bar President Mian Qayoom Arrested In Connection With Murder Case Of Advocate Babar Qadri
Previously, former Bar president Mian Qayoom was arrested in connection with the murder case of Advocate Babar Qadri. In a related development, the ad hoc chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad Ronga, was also detained by the Lieutenant Governor’s administration in Srinagar, just hours after the Bar issued a notification related to the internal election.
In a subsequent notification, a Bar spokesman stated, "On turn of events the JKHCBA has decided to suspend notification (issued on July 10)."
The police have not commented on the arrests of Advocates Nazir Ahmad Ronga and Mian Muzaffar or the accusations of them being booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
